The fuel for a lifetime of memories
Camp Dream is an experience that our Campers and Volunteers carry with them for the rest of their lives. The memories, laughter and friendships that are created during a camping session leave indelible impressions on hearts and minds. The social interactions and activities of Camp Dream enhance the quality of life for our campers and improve their general welfare.
But this can only be true if individuals, groups, businesses and organizations work together to support individuals with special needs by helping us to provide recreational, social and educational activities that they may otherwise be denied. While other organizations work diligently to find cures for the various disabilities that Camp Dream serves, we feel an obligation to improve the quality of life for those currently suffering with these maladies who may never benefit from research.
Your donation is vital to allowing these wonderful children and adults the ability to, for a short period of time, to allow their disabilities to disappear.
Why donate?
Camp Dream serves over 1000 children and young adults with specials needs annually. We serve individuals with every type of disability and age across every sector of society. These conditions frequently include significant financial burden to the camper's family, which often negates their ability to participate in recreational and social activities. Your donation will allow Camp Dream to continue providing vital social opportunities at little to no cost to the camper. The Camp Dream Foundation currently contributes to over 75% of Summer Camp program fees, and 100% of Camp Out program fees, through fundraisers, individual donors, private and state consumer agencies and private foundation grants.
Is the Camp Dream Foundation a 501(c)3 organization?
Yes, our EIN is 58-1444915. We are also registered on Guide Star and have earned the Guide Star Seal. Donor letters are provided annually once the calendar year has concluded.
How much of the funds raised go to the kids we serve.
Camp Dream Summer Camp and Camp Out programs are 100% volunteer. As such, 100% of the funds raised for Camp Dream less expenses goes directly to providing recreational, educational, and social activities for campers.
Who do you serve?
Camp Dream offers a barrier free environment which serves children and adults with any type of disability, at any age; with an emphasis on those with moderate to severe and profound disabilities. Our Campers primarily live in Georgia; however campers regularly come to us from all over the United States.
Do you really need my help?
Yes, because Camp Dream relies on fundraising to provide services, each donor is crucial to providing a period of fun and laughter to someone who may otherwise be relegated to a period of social isolation. Giving just $40 a month will allow a child with special needs to experience a traditional, overnight summer camp.
