The Muscogee County School District’s Program for Exceptional Students, Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Columbus State University, Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency, High School High Tech, and Fort Benning-Exceptional Family Member Program will host its ninth annual Transition Fair 2.0. The Transition Fair will be celebrated on March 20, 2020 with its location at Columbus State University in the Student Recreation Center from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Students will participate in a Reality Check event prior to visiting with vendors as a means to better understand paying bills, financing, prioritization, and decision making. It is the hope that this will inspire students to set personal goals that will ensure success for the future. The vision for the fair has always been to assist students with disabilities and their families in obtaining information and planning for a successful life after high school and it is believed that adding this vital piece will only increase the success of the fair. The Transition Fair will offer attendees a hands-on learning opportunity in addition to the resources the community provides.
